It has been an interesting, engaging, and productive year and of public speaking and advocacy among other exciting things.  Although it has been a while since I posted here, the majority of my serial postings for the year can be found on LinkedIn.   I am grateful to take a look back on some of the more enjoyable moments I was able to take part in:

 

Kapor Center:

It was great to have the chance to speak atop of the Kapor Center’s roof for the July edition of First Friday Founders Fireside Chats with other wonderful professionals in the immersive technology field:

 

 

 

 

Museum of the African Diaspora:

It was great to be asked to speak before an audience of art enthusiasts on blockchain at Smithsonian-Affiliate, MoAD!:

Pistahan 2018:

Disrupting the Public Sector with Blockchain:

This was an amazing panel discussion on how blockchain can disrupt the public sector.  Special thanks to Joshua Armah and the Government Blockchain Association for the invitation to speak on two industries enjoy so much.

 

 

AI Fintech Forum:

SF Impact Hub played host to this great event highlighting the convergence of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Fintech, and Cryptocurrencies and how they will influence data, policy, privacy, and employment in the foreseeable future.

Sacramento Advocacy:

It was an honor to be invited to the State Capitol to educate and advocate on behalf of AB 2658 and SB 838 with members of the Senate and Assembly.  Special thanks to Emeryville Mayor Ally Medina, the Blockchain Advocacy Coalition, and Senator Bob Hertzberg for inviting me to speak in front of the State Assembly’s Banking and Finance Subcommittee on Blockchain:
